Bairang
A letter sent without enough postage. Whoever receives it pays, or it goes back.
Bairang is a band of individual practitioners, each doing their own thing, who show and publish together in episodes. The work sits between art and design. Prayas Abhinav curates it and is also one of the people in it.
Each invitation carries a provocation and asks for one work in response to it. There is no open call. Practitioners can propose themselves as somebody to invite, and galleries and spaces can say what they can offer an episode. Prayas Abhinav writes to spaces and asks what they could offer, and invites them to apply or pitch.
