The one commitment

Keep a real outside in the room.

Something real you can't quietly tune until it agrees with you — and never let an AI take its place.

Every tool here, every position, every rule is one commitment in a different material. This page is that commitment. The rest of the site is it, built.

i.

A real outside

The lamp is what's in the room — your judgement, your work, the person across from you. The dark field is everything that exceeds it. The commitment is to keep that field real: present, and not quietly adjustable until it tells you what you want to hear. An AI can light the room. It cannot be the outside.

8.4 SEALED SCORE
ii.

Judgement in code you can read

An AI should not become the judge. So the consequential judgement lives in plain rules anyone can open, argue with, and rewrite — not in a model that hands you a fluent score you stop checking. The AI reads patterns and puts them into words; the verdict stays where you can see it.

YOU · your AI THEM · their AI THE VOICE STAYS HUMAN
iii.

The voice between people stays human

When a tool brings two people together, an AI should not become the one they both defer to. Each side gets their own private AI — to sharpen what they see, on their own side of the room. The talking between them is theirs. No third voice in the middle deciding for them.
